Financial terms were not disclosed. Analysis: The Canadiens selected White in the third round of the 2006 draft. The 20-year-old concluded his four-year junior career with Calgary of the Western Hockey League with 237 points and 411 penalty minutes in 275 regular-season games. The right wing led his club in scoring in each of the past three seasons, including recording 72 points, 98 penalty minutes and a plus-24 rating in 68 games in 2007-08.
